TE KAWAU RUGBY SUB-UNION Competition games for Saturday have been arranged as follows: Senior.—Hui Alai v. Awahuri, at San* son; referee, Air 8. Reeve. Junior: Awahuri v. Hui Mai, at Awahuri; referee, Air A. Simson. The Oroua Downs v. Rongotea games have been postponed and will be played at the end of the fixtures. A meeting of the local sub-branch of I the Plunket Society was held recently lat the residence of Mrs G. T. Francis. Airs J, 11. Perrett presided over a good attendance. The competition for a ham and turkey was finalised, the wininer being Air W. A. Carthew, of Feild* in g. | At the conclusion of the meeting, Mrs I Francis provided a dainty afternoon tea for those present, for which the hostess was accorded a heartv vote of thanks
