WELCOME WEEK
MANUFACTURERS’ DISPLAY A feature of particular interest to be staged during “Welcome Week,’ will be the display which is being o/ ganised by the manufacturers of Wan ganui. The owners of vacant premises in the main business areas have placed these at the disposal of the executive, who are co-operating with the factor ies to uso the shop windows for a special display of Wanganui-manufac-tured goods. It will interest and surprise many people to realise what a great variety of goods are made here, and the display should lend weight to the contention that Wanganui has all the facilities fur a manufacturing and distributing centre. Through the courtesy of the owners of Paul’s building in the lower Avenue (The National Mutual Vssuranco Company Ltd.), the committee have obtained the use of the building during “Welcome Week.” The windows will be used for the manufac- ‘ Hirers’ displays and the rooms for the ' children’s Birthday Party and Joy Night on Saturday. June 20.
