Untenable Houses. The opinion was expressed at a meeting of tho Wanganui Development League last night that there were many houses in the city that were untenable and unfit for habitation. It was considered that they should be destroyed, and that it was a matter for tho City Council to look into. Air Webb Jones pointed out that in these days there were people who were glad to take any house nt all in view of the hard times which they were experiencing.
