LION CLAWS SCHOOLGIRL
A lion taken into a school in Cincinatti, United States, to illustrate a lecture on wild life severely mauled a little girl. Tho lion, which was accompanied by other circus animals, was in charge of a woman trainer and was on a leash. A seven-year old girl entered the room. The lion snapped the leash, sprang at the girl and hurled her to the floor, slashing her with its claws. The girl was pulled from underneath the lion and taken to hospital.
