The meeting of the Board of Health' again discussed the question of the quarantine system in New Zealand, an.l after consideration of a report presented by Dr. Watt, Director of General Health, unanimously passed tho following resolution: “The Board of Health is of opinion that the adoption of the English system of quarantine in New Zealand would give at least ns much, protection ns that: at present in force, while it would enable a considerable saving to be effected in administrative costs and involve less interference with shipping and with tho convenience ot the travelling public.”
