POLICE FORCE MOVES
PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS [ I'er Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Juno 16. Promotions and transfers in tho police force were announced to-day. Inspector P. Harvey, of Whangarci, has been transferred to Palmer ton North to fill the vacancy caused by tho retirement of Superintendent Simpson, and Sub-Inspector P. J. O’Haru, Christchurch, has been transferred to Whangarci on promotion with the rank - f inspector. Constable John J'clntosh, of Porangahau, has been promoted to the rank of Sergeant and transferred to Wellington City.
