Schneider Cup
BRITAIN WINS BY DEFAULT ONLY HAS TO COVER COURSE I By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.! Received June Ki, 10.5 p.m, LONDON, Juno 16. Tho Daily Herald’s Paris correspond 1 ent declares authoritatively that neithoi French or Italian airplanes will com pete for tho Schneider Cup, which will go to Britain by default. The French entry is regarded as a joke, as the only available aeroplanes were built in 1926, and arc slow compared with the British ’planes. They also are regarded as dangerous. Italy is unable to complete the new Fiat engines in time for tho race. In these circumstances, Britain will win the Cup outright by simply flying over the course.
