BURGLARS AT WAIPUKURAU [ Per Press Association. ] WAIPUKURAU, Juno 15During the week-end burglars entered the office of R. AlcLcan and Co., in tho main street, removing tho safe to a blacksmith’s shop at the rear of the premises. x Cold chisels and a sledge hammer were used and a portion of the safe was broken apart and the sum of £6 18s stolen. The safe weighed three cwt., and there is an indication that more than one person was implicated. Entry was apparently gained at the rear of the workshop where a broken window was discovered.
