J-JUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Rangitikei County Council at its meeting to be held in tue Kangitikei County Council Chambers at Marton, on the 2nd. day of July, 1931, at 10 a.m. to make and levy General Rates under the provisions of ‘ ‘ The Rating Act, 1925,” and Sections 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the several Ridings comprising the County of Kangitikei to the amuunts following respectively: Rangitoto liiding. —One-half penny (4d) in the pound sterling. Otakapu Riding. —One-half penny (jd) in tue pounu sterling. Porevva Riding.—Three-eighths of a penny (3-8 d in the pound sterling. Wangaehu Riding.—One-half penny (id) in the pound sterling. Rangitira Riding.—One-half penny (id) in the pound •sterling. Otairi Riding.—One-half penny (|d) in the pound sterling. Te Kapua Riding.—Three-farthings (sd) in the pound sterling. Awarua Riding.—Five-eighths of a penny (5-8 d in the pound sterling. Erewlion Riding.—Nine-sixteenths of a penny (9-16 d in the pound sterling. Ruanui Riding. —One-half penny (id) in the pound sterling. Also that it is the intention of the said Council at its above said meeting to make and levy a Hospital Kato under the provisions of ‘‘The Rating Act, 1925,” and Section 52 of “The Hospitals <tnd Charitable institutions Act, 1926,” of One-fifth of a penny (l-sd) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei. The whole of the above-mentioned rates are for the period of one year commencing on the Ist. day of April, 1931, and ending on the 31st. day of March, 1932, and arc to become payable in one sum on the Ist. day of September, .1931, at the office of the Rangitikei County Council, at Marton.
