THE 1 NEW SERIES OPENS MERINO DOWN FIVE J‘ER CENT. Received June 15, 9.35 p.m. SYDNEY, Juno 15. The wool sales resumed. Offerings were of a miscellaneous character and there was good competition, chiefly on Japanese and German account. Prices for Merinos were from 5 to per cent, below the last Sydney series. Competition for •crossbreds and oddments, also scoureds, was most irregular. The number of bales offered was 9047, of which 6497 bales were solo, also 2773 bales privately. Greasy Merino made I4jd.
