WEATHER FORECAST
General situation.—The depression passed Io the eastward during Saturday night, but a secondary has since developed off the West Coast of the South Island. An anticyclone is moving over the Tasman Sea, with its centre to the northwards. Forecast.—Winds: Variable, but southerlies setting in generally, strong at first, but soon moderating and later tending westerly. Seas (N.Z- waters): Rough on the West Coast of the North Island, and rising south of East Cape, elsewhere moderate. Tasman Sea: Strong but decreasing south to west winds and rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather: Unsettled, dull and misty, with fnirlv general rain. Some heavy falls to-night, especially in the Cook Strait area. Temperatures becoming cold. A temporary improvement probable soon.
