WANGANUI RUGBY LADDER START OF SECOND ROUND CREATES MORE ZEST (Bp “CBOSS-B/4R”). It is many years since Wanganui club Rugby has developed such an interesting outlook as that patent in the senior rivalry for honours this season. After last Saturday’s matches three teams find a footing on the ladder’s top rung with a fourth lying next, only a point behind. Kaierau, after an encounter in which they were definitely masters at the end, succeeded in defeating the so far unbeaten Technical Old Boys’ team by a point, the difference between a try and a field goal; Old Boys accounted for Marist by 19 points to 14 in a match that represented opposing sides on fairly even terms. At Ratana Pirates were able to finish the day with a draw to their credit.
