SPIRITUAL WAR
CATALONIA AND SPAIN. LONDON, June 4. Unless Catalonia has her way Spain will have an angry province in her, says the leader of the Catalonian autonomists, Colonel Marcia. In an interview published in El Sol, Colonel Marcia says:—“We are drawing up a statute for Catalonia which Madrid has solemnly engaged to present to, and defend before, the Cortes. “If the Cortes’ decision does not agree with our ideals of liberty and favours a unitary form of government, Catalan separatism will come up stronger than ever and a real spiritual war will ensue between Spain, and Catalonia. ’ ’
