AMERICAN AS A KING
A romantic story is told by a former American marine named Faustein Wirkus, who has just returned to his home in Pennsylvania. Faustin, although an American, is also a king, his realm being the island of La Gonava, in the Bay of Hayti. Wirkus was assigned to the island some years ago as a marine, but made himself so popular among the islanders that they elected him to rule over them with their queen.
