Answering a question in the House of Commons regarding the Chequers discussion with the German Ministers, Ji> Prime Minister (Mr Ramsay MacDonald) said that as regards the scope if the discussion he could not add anything to the official communique. As had always been intended, the discussions took the form of a general exchange of views, and no conclusions or decisions were reached other than those set forth in the communique. He added that the German Chancellor had invited him and the Foreign Secretary (Air Arthur Henderson) to pay a return visit to • Berlin. The Government had had great pleasure in accepting the invitation, but no date had as yet been fixed.
