THEFTS FROM BANK
COURT IMPOSES SENTENCES Received June 12. 6.35 p.m. SYDNEY, June 12. The theft of £5OOO from the Australian Bank of Commerce on December 14. 1929, had a sequel at the quarter sessions to-day when Arnold Walker, aged 42, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment, William Evans, aged 49. four years, and Joseph Wall, 58. two years. The judge expressed the opinion that the bank staff had displayed negligence.
