"BONNIE PRIMROSE” PAYS CALL
Dear Wendy,—Thank you ever so much for the birthday, Wendy ; really it was a surprise to me. I thought that when you looked over the roll, and when you saw my name there, you would just put a black mark through it and say to yourself, “What's the use of this person’s name being here, she 8 apparently forgotten me, so I’ll just do the same. But. Wendy, I have not forgotten you ; every week I have read your interesting pages. Oh Wendy, I just came home on Thursday irom three weeks’ holiday, and I had a wonuerfu. time. The first two weeks I stayed with some friends in Foxton, and the last week I went home with these people to Palmerston. It was ideal weather down at the beach, and we went in for several swims, too. We played tennis fairly often, and we also went fishing, but we never had any luck; the fish did not like us. Before we knew where we were we had to pack up and leave the dear old sea-side. Well, dear Wendy, I will close now, fco cheerio. With love.—From “BONNIE PRIMROSE.” Bonny Glen. There. I knew you would not forget us. dear. I am so pleaded you. as a member of our Old Brigade, have written. _ I am glad you spent such a wonderful holiday. It is lovely by the sea. isn’t it?—Wendy.
