AUDACIOUS THIEVES
INCIDENTS AT AUCKLAND (Per Picss Association.) AUCKLAND, June fl. A woman was attacked in a suburban road last night by two men, who attempted to snatch her bag. Bho resisted and screamed and neighbours ran to the rescue. The men escaped. It is believed that they mistook the woman for the wife of a local theatre lessee who at about that time is usually going home with the night’s takings. At Devonport a man woke, up this morning to lind that he had been robbed of £4O which nad been in his trousers pocket at the head of bed, not six inches from his face.
