ARRIVAL IN BRAZIL MACHINE TO BE OVERHAULED FERNANDO DO NORONHA, (Brazil), June 5. The Do.X will probably stay a week p.m. to-day for Natal (Brazil), 200 miles, whero she will be overhauled. Tho fDo.X wil Iprobably stay a week before flying to Rio de Janeiro instead of Pernambuco as originally intended. A Natal message states that tho Do.X arrived at 2.10 p.m., completing the trans-Atlantic voyage from AJtcnrhein (Switzerland). The Vacuum Oil Company has been advised that the Dornier Do. X, under Captain F. R. Christianson, carried 15 people on her flight to South America. The recent delay at Las Palmas, Canary Islands, was due to one of the large pontoons being damaged in making a landing. The Dornier Do. X did not make a spectacular dash across the Atlantic, but was concerned in demonstrating that aeroplanes can be made efficient with increased size. Representing a gross weight of 56 tons, tho Do.X carried one lb of useful load to lib of its own weight. The Dornier Do.X is fitted with .12 Curtis Conqueror 600 h.p. engines which are lubricated with Mobiloil and fuelled with Vacuum Motor Spirits.
