THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY iPcj I’t'-'-h Association J WELLINGTON, June 6. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church unanimously .leclared the Rev. Adam Begg, of Highlield, L'imaru, Moderator-elect for 1932. The report of the sub-comnuttec of elders which considered the question of reducing ministerial salaries was presented. The convenor said that many ministers and missionaries had intimated their willingness lo shit re the sacrifices made by the community, Aloreover, they had not participated in the increases that had characterised the salaries of others during lhe past few years. The committee was convinced that there should be no reduction. His colleagues or a commit tee nil businessmen were ofopinion that the min.-mum stipend should be increased inther than decreased. The icport was adopted.
