AN AIR ARMADA
UNITED STATES ’PLANES MOCK ATTACK ON NEW YORK. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright! Received May 24, 9.15 p.m. NEW YORK, May 23. Au air armada comprising 672 aeroplanes, carrying 1400 men, settled down iu the neighbourhood of the airports this evening, in preparation of a review and an “attack” on the city to-nior-row, when the strongest fleet of fight ers ever assembled under a single command, will engage in manoeuvres, demonstrating tho facilities and purposes of the various types of ’planes. The battle between the ’planes, and the attack on the airports and build ings, will be followed by a smokescreen demonstration, acrobatics, etc.
