HUNTERViLLE TOWN BOARD ORDINARY MEETING The ordinary monthly meeting oi Huntervilie Town Board was held in the Boaxd room on Tuesday night, Commissioner W. H. Bowick presiding. Also present: Crs. R. A. Gordon, W. O’Brien, F. C. Berry and R. K. Simpson. Apologies for absence were received froms Crs. G. B. Gregory and W. J. Whyte. The Auctioneers’ Association, Pal merston North, notified that the question/} of alteration of sale day and taking out a license in Huntervilie Town District would be discussed at the next meeting, but pointing out that the change of sale day had been fully dis cussed a little time ago. In regard to an enquiry it wax decided to enquire the cost of installing one light on Murhnutu Road. An application from J. F. Payne for £lO towards the cost of a septic tank at his residence was granted. The foreman’s report for the month was read. It was decided to reduce the price of the hall for dances to £2 10s without, any time limit. Accounts amounting to £M2 2s were

passed for payment, leaving a debit balant-s of £571 6a Id in the general account. DOMAIN BOARD A meeting of the Domain Board was held at the conclusion of the Town Board meeting, the same members sitting. Accounts amounting to £3 8s 9d were passed for payment, leaving a credit balance of £1 10s 2d. The foreman’s report on work for the month was read. In reply to Cr. Gordon, the chairman said the Board was not now receiving rent for grazing on the oval. In reply to the chairman, Cr. Simpson said the Loan and Mercantile Company was still using Queen’s Park, but the company would not require the Domain aftc r June 30, when the firms federated, but that the Loan Company would recommend the reserve to the Federation of Auctioneers. The chairman said the reserve was still in the name of J. P. Kelly and it would not I>p necessary now to complete the transfer to the Loan and Mercantile Company. The clerk was instructed to interview the Board’s solicitor in the matter.
