SOCIAL AND PERSONAL.
Mrs G. T. Bradley, and Miss L. Bradley, of Mercer Road. Herne Bay, Auckland, are visiting Wanganui. Mrs Blyth, of Khandallah, is spending a holiday in Wanganui and is at present the guest of Mrs J. Blyth, Keith Street. Mrs Grimsdale Anderson, Mahau Sound, is visiting her sister, Mrs F. Barclay. Miss K. Gardiner, England, who has been visiting the Franz Josef Glacier, and was the first woman to make the ascent of Douglas Peak, will arrive in Wellington shortly. On Friday night member of the Girls’ Club entertained Miss’W. Ross at a “kitchen” evening on the occasion of her approaching marriage. Many useful gifts were presented and during the evening Miss Jean Gordon, on behalf of the members of the club, presented Miss Ross with a. kitchen china set. Dancing, competitions and musical items helped to pass a very pleasant evening.
