SILVER CURRENCY
CANADA’S ATTITUDE. CONFERENCE WITH EXPERT. OTTAWA. May 11. The Dominion Government has been in conference on the silver currency question with a leading British author ity on this matter, who is at present in Ottawa, Mr R. B. Bennett informed the House to-day. The Premier was not. prepared to say what the attitude of Canada was with regard to the pro posed international currency conference. He stated, however, that, the Dominion might be expected to act in an appropriate way for a large, silver producing country The British expert referred to is believed to be Air J. F. Darling (Director of the Midland Bank), who had a conference with the Premier on Mondav.
