LODGE MEETING N.G. Bro. A. J. Alartin, presided over the fortnightly meeting of the 1.0.0. F. ALU., Lodge, Loyal Rangiwahia, on Wednesday night, when there was the usual good attendance. An invitation to visit the Loyal Rangitikei Lodge on 21st inst. was received and accepted. One candidate was proposed for membership, and one account was passed for payment. After the close of the meeting a short but enjoyable dance was held and then a tasty supper was served by the social committee. FOOTBALL Playing on their home ground on Saturday afternoon, tho senior team were successful in defeating the Wai ‘una team by 6—3. The tries were scored by IL Alonk and P. Alartin. Air A. .T. Tomkins was the referee. The junior team, which played at Apiti, was defeated by 14 points to 3. CARD TOURNAMENT The fifth of a series of card tournaments in aid of funds for the hockey club was held on Saturday night and was very well patronised. Tho winners of the prizes were: Cribbagc, Airs Thomas and Air H. Fagan; consolations, Airs Pemberton and Air G. Kreger. Euchre, Afiss Daphne Collie and Air E. Jenkins; consolations, Aliss P. Collie and Air S. Sicely. Next week tho series will conclude and will be held on Friday night, concluding with a dance.
