DANGER TO TRAFFIC
DEPUTATION TO COUNCIL MANAWAPOU BRIDGE APPROACH PATEA, May 12. At the Patea County Council’s meeting to-day a deputation from the South Taranaki Automobile Association drew the attention of members to the necessity for improving tho visability at the Manawnpou Bridge approach. This request was a sequel to tho cVath of a cyclist resultant from a collision on the bridge. Dr Simmons, one of the deputation, stated that if the bank at the road side on the south of the bridge were cut down tho approaches to the bridge would be much cleared to motorists. This last was the third fatal accide'nt to occur at the bridge. The council decided to meet the association.
