MARTON GOLF CLUB MANAWATU V. AIARTON During the week-end a team of golfers from tho Alanawatu Golf Club visited Alarton and competed with the Alarton Club in four-ball singles matches. Alarton were successful in winning eight four-ball games and eleven singles, a total of 11 games against Alanawatu’s two wins in the four-ball and three in the singles—five wins. The visitors were entertained at lunch at the White Hart Hotel :»nl Air W. L. Fitzherbert, captain ol the Alanawatu Club, in returning thanks, complimented the Alarton Club on its excellent links, which he considered -yere in perfect order, and also thanked them for their warm welcome and hospitality. Tho standard of the play of the winners was very high. Air A. H. Alarshall, captain of the local club, returned thanks for the kind remarks that had been made, and it had been a great pleasure to them to meet such a happy 1 band of golfers.
