TINY BRITISH COMPETITOR A TWENTY-TON BOAT LONDON, May Ml. The Mail says that the Hex, a twentyton yacht and shorter than an cighto. red rive r boat, is Britain’s sole entry for the trans-Atlantic race in July, competing against a dozen large American boats, of which several have been specially built. The crew of seven will consist entirely of Royal Engineers from the Officers Auxiliary. The engines have been removed to make room for extra water tanks allowing a gallon per man per day for a month. The crew hope to complete the passage in 21 days.
