WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. ]\JOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Electing of tho Wanganui City Council held on Alonda.v the fourth day of May 1931. the following resolution was passed: The Wanganui City Council doth hereby in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “Tho Industrial. Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925” and in pursuance oi every other authority and power (it any) enabling it in that behalf tir make this special resolution AND RESOLVE by way of Special Order that the undermentioned works being carried out or to be carried out by the Wanganui City Council shall bo carried out as Relief Works within the meaning of Section 155 or “The Industrial Conciliation ana Arbitration Act, 1925”: A. —The Re-conditioning, renewing ana extending of portions of the Tramway Track in the City of Wanganui. B. —The levelling and making improvements to the following City Reserves, Domains, and other properties: —Allison Park, Westmere Lake Reserve, Peat Park, Queen ’s Park, Moul on Gardens, Cook’s Gardens, Gonville Domain, Gonville Park, Loronzdalc Park, Castlecliff Domain, Victoria Park, Virginia Lake, Matipo Park, Aramoho Park, Aramoho Cemetery, Hylton’s Pit Reserve, Wanganui East Esplanade, Riverbank, Dnrie Hill playing area, City Nursery, Wanganui General Cemetery, Castlecliff pit, Abattoirs, Council property fronting Gilmour Street, Council property bounded by Jackson Street, Car’ton Avenue and Purnell Street, Council properties fronting Fergusson Street and London Street, Grey Street, Hatrick Street Extension, and Carlton Avenue. No. 2 Yard. C. —The formation of. widening and levelling of the following streets. — Access road to Castlecliff wharf, Seafront. Cornfoot Street, Bamber Street, Manuka Street, Karewa Street, Karaka Street, Taupata Street, Waitote Street, Carson Street. Raupo Street, Pnriri Street, Totara Street, Toi Street, Smithfield Road, Burns Street, Konini Street, Swiss Avenue, Baker Street, Duigan Street, Harper Street, Carlton Avenue, Purnell Street Extension, Gilmour Street, Union Street, stock route (from Carlton Avenue to Bedford Avenue), Webb Road, Goorgetti Road, Shakespeare Road, Mt. View Road, Wairero Road, Somme Parade, No. 3 Line, Burton Avenue, Sedgebrook I Street, Tinirau Street, Tangirau Street, Benefield Street, Eastown Road, Hillside Terrace, Taranaki Street, Ngapuhi Street, Anzac Parade, Parkes Avenue, York Street, Jackson Street, London Street, Guyton Street, Plymouth Street, Ingestre Street. D. —The formation of footpaths in the following streets. —Puriri Street, Totara Street, Toi Street, and Smithfield Road, Aotoa Street, Bambei Street, Manuka Street, Cornfoot Street, Owen Street, Jones Street, Somme Parade, Madras Street, Delhi Street, Portal Street, Carlton Avenue, Harrison Street, Campbell Street, Bell Street, Wickstecd Street, Gorse Street, Taylor Street, Rccs Street, Millward Street, Fitzhcrberv Avenue, Nikau Street, Great North Road, Brasscy Road, Oakland Avenue. E. —The making, doing, or performing of the following works: The widening of bridge situate in Parsons Street; the making of a culvert in Churton Creek, in Purnell Street extension; the protecting of tho Riverbank and the approach to tho Wanganui Town Bridge; the making of a sewer in Jackson Street and Se!wyn Crescent extension; the making of a sewer in Victoria Avcnuo nnct Glasgow Street; tho making of n sewer in Alma Road; the making of a sewer at the outfall of St. George’s Gate: tho making of a sewer at th* outfall of tho Kaikokopu Road. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Resolution shall he submit too for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Wanganui Citv Council to be held on Monday the first day of June 1931 at 4.30 o’clock p.m. at tho Council Chambers situate in St. Hill Street, Wanganui.
