PARLIAMENT PROROGUED
THE LATEST GAZETTE. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, May 9. An extraordinary Gazette was issued this morning proroguing Parliament until Thursday, June 11. This docs not mean that members are being called together for tho dispatch of business on that date. The Prime Minister (the Right Hou. G. W. Forbes) has already slated that it is his intention that the ordinary session of Parliament this year should commence earlier than usual, but it is not anticipated that members will be asked to assemble before Thursday, June 18. This will be a week earlier than the customary date.
