THE BRITISH TEAM TO TRAIN AT CALSHOT NOW RUGBY, May 8. The high speed flight, team of tho Royal Air Force, which has been stationed at Folixtowe, has been transferred to Calshot, on Southampton Water. Training for the Schneider Trophy race, which take splacc in Sep tember over the Spithead course, to the cast and north-east of the Isle of Wight, wil begin there on Monday. For the present the team will not have available for practice tho seaplanes of the supermarine Rolls Royce 56 type, on which the late Flight-Lieutenant Waghorn won the Schneider Trophy race in 1929. The existing craft of this type are undergoing modifications and now machines are still under construction. For the next few weeks training will be carried on with other high speed ’planes. These include Napier-Gloster 5, with which the Schneider Cup race was won in 1927. Tho Napier-Gloster 6 and 3 are somewhat slower machines.
