The St. Rollox by-clcction due to the death of tho Labour member, Mr Steward, resulted:— Leonard (Labour) 10,044 Kennedy (Conservative) .. 8,662 Campbell (Scottish Nationalist) 3,521. Tho figures for the General Election, 1929, were: J. Stewart (Lab.) 19,443, Captain A. N. Forman (C) 11,430, Q. W. Middleton (Com.) 613.
