SISTER WHO VANISHED.
GOOD NEWS FOR’ BROTHERS. Thirty years ago a Miss Nellie Keys, of Wakering, Essex, three miles from Southend. vanished from her village home. Her family failed to trace her and believed she was uead. Recently the missing woman’s brothers, Air Sidney Keys and Mr Joseph Keys, of Southend. received three letters by the same post. One w'as addressed: “Air Sidney Keys, Southend, England.” The two others were ad dressed to Air Joseph Keys and Air George Keys, of Southend, England.” The letters, dated February 14, informed the brothers that, their sister was alive and that she was Airs Payne, of Temple, Texas. Written by a niece whom the brothers have, of course, never seen, the letters continued: “Wo have done everything possible to get into touch with you and failed. We aro addressing this to Southend in the hope that one of you is still in the district, and that the postal authorities will be able to deliver it.” Air George Keys is dead, but Sidney and Joseph are Jiving together at Southend. Air Sidney Keys stated: “We had given up all hope of over hearing from Nellie. I can just remember her. 1 have recently returned from Australia, and it is strange that I should come home and stay with my brother Joseph in time for such a big surprise. We have cabled to I’exa.s to say that the letters have reached us. “It is remarkable that the Post Oflicc should be able to deliver all three letters together and with no loss of time in transit. I only wish Nellie had tried the address, ‘Keys, Southend, England,’ sooner. Won’t, she be surprised to receive our cable!”
