BRIDGE CONTEST

Eight bridge players from the Lady Jcllicoc Club, Wanganui, captained by Airs R. W. Tosswill, and accompanied by their president, Airs H. Bayly, visited the Alanawatu County Club on Thursday to try conclusions with the club at bridge. The result was a victory for the Palmerston North players by 486 points. The total points scored were: Palmerston North, 11,161; Wanganui, 10,675. The Wanganui players were most hospitably entertained, and returned to Wanganui late in the afternoon, after a most enjoyable day. The Wanganui players were: Alesdamcs R. D. Tosswill, T. Blennerhassett, 0. Williams, W. Gardner, Alerewether, W. Williams, F. Lomas, Aliss Parsons. The Palmerston players were: Miss Randolph, Alesdames Kceble, White, Seifert, Hagitt (Captain). Putnam, Alisses Warron, and Airs AlcGill.
