ALLEGED WILFUL DAMAGE
A DEALER CHARGED ( Per Press Association. 1 CHRISTCHURCH. May 9. Arthur Lancelot Cyril Watkins, a dealer residing at Rangiora. aged 35. was charged this morning that at New Brighton he wilfully damaged a motor truck, the property of Johnson’s North Canterbury Motors, Ltd. Chief Detective Carroll said that Watkins was driving the truck when he had an accident. It was alleged that he later set fire to it to secure the insurance money. The truck was held by his mother under a hire-purchase agreement.. Accused was remanded to Mny It.
