Decrease of Local Bodies The question whether the number of local bodies of various kinds in Now Zealand should not be drastically reduced owing to the nugc Durden of their upkeep on tho community is to form the' subject of a debate at the annual meeting of the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce next month. It has been suggested that a member of tho Chamber load the case for the affirmative, and that a representative of one of the Taranaki local bodies be invited 1o champion their own cause.
