It is reported that- a Canadian and New Zealand trade agreement is in prospect. It is understood that New Zealand has made overtures to that end, and the Government here is favourably disposed to advocating an extension of the Australian treaty, when it is ratified to Now Zealand, instead of negotiating a separate pact.
