GLASOW GOES RED
Glasgow went red on Saturday, November 8, when the sales of Armistice Day poppies must have broken all records for the city. Over 5000 poppy sellers spent a busy day in the streets, so great being the demand for the scarlet emblems that the reserve supplies ran out at noon and emergency calls were sent to Edinburgh for moreAfter lunching at the Scottish motor show at Kelvin Hall, Countess Haig went round the stands personally selling poppies.
