AUSTRALIAN INJUNCTION FIVE JUDGES DELIBERATE MR. LANG’S MINISTRY CASE ;By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.] Received Dec. 15, 8.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 15. Five judges of the State Full Court arc hearing argument in connection with the injunction suit over the abolition of the Legislative Council. It is 20 years since there were so many judges on the bench at one time. Dr. Evatt, leading counsel for the Lang Ministry, who presented the case for the Government, submitted that >t would be unique iu the constitutional history of the British Empire if the Parliament of the day could not alter the legislative acts of its predecessors. Also no statute could make itself secure against repeal. His main point was that the Lang Ministry was within its rights in seeking tu abolish the Legislative Council in. the precise manner already adopted.
