WHARF LABOUR
Sir/ —Will either the Wharf Clerk, the Stationmaster, or the District Traffic Manager, Wanganui, inform me and several of your readers, why a certain number of ex-railway men should demand work on the waterfront in preference to old members of the local Watersiders’ Union. The two shed storemen are put to their wits’ end through the Wharf Clerk saying “Put these men on,” when already there are sufficient men on the spot wanting the work. OPEN EYES.
