The monthly meeting of the Wanganui branch of tho Women’s Division of the Farmers Union was held yesterday. Mrs J. C. Wickham welwas in the chair. After reciting the W.D.F.U. Creed, Mrs Wickham welcomed Mrs Polson and said how pleased they were to have her with them. Mrs Polson addressed the meeting on the forthcoming rally to be held in Hawcra next week. At the conclusion of the address Mrs Wickham moved a hearty vote of thanks to Mrs Polson. Mrs S. Scott seconded and the motion was carried.

The question of unemployment came in for a great deal of discussion and many questions were asked in reference to the employment of men on the land. The usual business of the meeting was then continued.
