FOR THE HAWKE CUP AN ELIMINATION MATCH. WANGANUI AND TARANAKI. The Wanganui eleven to play Taranaki at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, to-morrow and Saturday in the Hawke Cup elimination match has undergone further changes from the original selection owing to several of those chosen being unable to make the trip. The team will travel north by the New Plymouth express this afternoon, with Mr J. H. Williams as manager. The following is the personnel of tho Wanganui team:—J. H. Williams (Wanganui), L. A. MATCHES FOR SATURDAY. In spite of the fact that the Wanganui representative cricket eleven will be absent at New Plymouth to-morrow and Saturday to fulfil their engagement to play Taranaki in the Hawke Cup elimination match, the first grade matches will still be played on Saturday. The following matches are set down to be played:— First Grade. United v. Wanganui, on Cook’s Gardens No. 1 ground. Tech. College Old Boys v. Collegiate School, on Collegiate Ground. Second Grade. Aramoho v. Marists, on Peat Park No. 1. Technical College Old Boys v. Wanganui, on Peat Park No. 2. Third Grade. Watorsiders v. Imlay, on Peat Park, No. 3. Owing to the schools being on vacation the following clubs have byes;— First grade.—Old Boys. Second grade. Collegiate School, Watorsiders, Technical College and Railway. Third grade.—Technical College A. and 8., Collegiate School, Marists and Retailers. The Technical College Old Boys v. Collegiate Schoo! match will be a oncday match. Railway will play a friendly game with Old Boys on Cook’s Gardens No. 2 ground. REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES. Tho following representative matches have been arranged for the holidays. First Grade. December 12 and 13 v. Taranaki at New Plymouth. December 27 and 29 v. Victoria University at Wanganui. January 1 and 2 v. Hawke’s Bay at Napier. Second Grade. December 26 and 17 v. Manawatu at Palmerston North. January 1 and 2 v. Feilding, at Peat Park. Third Grade. December 26 and 27 v Manawatu, at Palmerston North. January 1 and 2 v. Feilding, at Fcilding.
