WANGANUI SALE Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report as follows on Wanganui sale, held yesterday:—We had a light entry of shik'p and pigs with a fair yarding of cattle, comprising a fair proportion of fat cows, which met fair competition but at lower values than wo have experienced this spring. Vendors were prepared to meet the drop in price and we had a very fair clearance at prices which must be in the buyers’ favour. Quotations: — * Sheep. —Fat two-tooths, ewes and wethers, 16s; fat wethers, 16s 9d; fat ewes Ils 6d.

Cattle. —Fat Hereford and P.A. cowc, £6 ss, £6 6s, £6 7s, £7 15s to £8 ss; for ward Hereford cows £5; store cows, £3 to £4; 3-year P.A. steers, £6 7s 6J; works bulls, £4 2s 6d to £7 15s; yearling Holstein heifers, £2 ss; small twoyear empty heifers, to £2 ss; works cows £1 10s to £2 15s.

Pigs.—Porkers, 32s to 365; weaners (good) 22s to 235; weaners, 16s to 20a.
