CLAIM FOR DAMAGES
AN EMPLOYEE’S INJURIES [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Dec. 4. An action is proceeding in the Supreme Court before tho Chief Justice in which Timothy Dunne is claiming £2OO general, and £56 7s 6d special damages from his employer, August Victor Swanson, arising from injuries and lost wages ns the result of plaintiff being buried in a fall of earth at tho back of the Ewart Hospital in March. The accident, it is alleged, was caused by the unsk’lful and negligent manner in which the excavations were carried out. Defendant denies that there was any negligence or failure to take proper precautions in carrying out the work.
