MANAWATU STANDARD
JUBILEE CELEBRATED. The Manawatu Standard, which was the first daily paper to be established between Wanganui and Wellington, has celebrated its jubilee. A copy of the special edition published to mark the occasion has come to hand. It traces the early history of the paper and is illustrated with photographs appropriate to the occasion* The “Chronicle” joins with the press of New Zealand in tendering the Standard good wishes on its fiftieth birthday.
