TRAGEDY AT MANGERE CAR’S DOUBLE SOMERSAULT [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Dec. 2. A motor mechanic named William Simmond, aged 21, of Onehunga, met hie death and his' doiripanidn had a nar ; row escape from injury when a racing car travelling at-B<J miles-an hour capsized at Henning’s Speedway, at Mangere abtftit & o’clock last .evening. • - The injured man was taken to Auckland Hospital,, whpre hq underwent an operation, but later succumbed. The car somersaulted twice.
