SEVERE CYCLONE
DAMAGE AT MADRAS. OIL TANKER AGROUND. ■ • DELHI, Dec. 1. Madras suffered severely from one ofthe fiercest cyclones experienced in the past sixty years. The storm, which swept the city, caused immense havoc. An oil tanker was driven aground and three Europeans drowned. Many huts were destroyed and the city offices collapsed. the electric light supply is paralysed and all the telegraph lines are down.
