FAREWELL SOCIAL EVENING
A very enjoyable evening was spent at Air H. J. Trussell’s residence last Saturday when the members of Trussell’s Orchestra met to bid farewell to Air and Airs J. Wright who are leaving Wanganui to take up residence in Christchurch. Air B. Nicholls, in presenting Airs "Wright with a dressing case and Airs Wright with a smokers’ stand, expressed regret at their depar-' turn and said how willing they had al-, ways been to assist in any charitable cause. Air 11. J. Tusseil in coupling the names of Airs G. F. Bridges, Air and Airs S. Kendall, and Air S- Rountree with the orchestra, spoke of the valuable work Airs Wright had done as a vocalist while in Wanganui and how sorry the orchestra were in losing such an enthusiastic member as Air Wright. In returning thunks Air Wright said that the last five years had been very happy ones, and that both would always remember the many good times spent with the members of the orchestra. He assured one and all of *a hearty welcome should they visit Christchurch in the future. During the evening items were given by Airs Wright, Air S. Kendall, and the Bridges Trio, while the accompaniments were played by Airs Kendall.
