BORROWING POWERS
UNEMPLOYED INSURANCE Received Dec. 2, 11.50 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 2. Miss Margaret Bondfield moved the increase of tho Unemployed Insurance Fund’s borrowing powers by ten millions to seventy millions. This Fund’s debt now stands at £56,000,000 and is increasing at the rate uf £40,000,000 a year. The total benefits, plus the cost of interest and administration, is £117,000,000 a year. The motion was carried bv 274 to 214.
