SALES OF THE WEEK. | Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report on the sales of the week as under: — There was a small yarding of sheep and pigs and a fair entry of cattle at the Bulls sale on Monday, 25th ultimo: Fat owes, 10s 6d; light fat woolly wethers, 21s 2d; fat 2-ths. 17s 6d; prime fat hoggets, 25s 4d; store ewes, ss; empty 2 and 3-yr. heifers, £4; light fat heifers £5 17s 6d; fat cows, £5, £7; heifers in milk, £5 2s 6d; springing heifers, £8 2s 6d; 15-mos. rough steers, £2 15s; Crossbred yearling heifers, £2 ss; empty store cows, £2 7s 6d; weaner pigs, 20s 6d, 21s; slips, 265; large stores, 30s; porkers, 345, 355, 365, 38s. There was a good entry of both sheep and cattle at the Ashhurst sale on Wednesday, 2Ath inst. and practically a total clearance was effected at the following prices:—Shorn fat ewes, 10s 4d, 10s 6d, 10s 9d; fat and forward woolly ewes, 9s 3d to 11s 8d; ewe hoggets, 19s 3d; fat maiden ewes, 14s; b.f. hoggets, 15s 6d; springing cows, £9 12s 6d; springing heifers, small £3 7s 6d, £4 15s, springing heifers, £7; 3 and 4-year bullocks, £7 15s; fat cows, £4 Ils, £4 12s 6d, £5, £5 2s 6d, £5 6s, £5 10s to £7; empty cows, £2, £2 15s, £3; Jersey bulls. £3, £5; weaner pigs, 19s 6d, 21s, 21s 6d, 245. There was a 'fair yarding of store and fat sheep, a very good entry of store cattle and a moderate yarding of fat and dairy sorts at the Feilding sale on Friday, 28th ultimo.
